Podiatry & Footcare | Congleton

We are husband & wife team, Andrew & Anna Ayres. We're both HCPC registered podiatrists and aim to provide a friendly, welcoming environment and high standards of compassionate care.

Away from work we enjoy the great outdoors, good music and good food! We gained a love for adventure travel after trekking through the Himalayas, and have a little campervan for mini adventures in the UK. We love the mountains!

What is your specialism?

I provide routine podiatry, cosmetic podiatry and reflexology, combining podiatry with complementary approaches to foot health. I am interested in the impact lifestyle changes can have on our health.

What led you to podiatry?

My interest began through working in an NHS Specialist Diabetes Team. I shadowed the podiatrist and saw what a difference you can make to peoples lives.

Where did you train?

My podiatry degree was at Salford University. It was the hardest 3 years of my life! I also have a foundation degree in complementary therapy for health & well-being.

Tell us about your career so far.

I have worked in a variety of health settings providing both conventional healthcare and holistic therapy. After working in the NHS for a few years, I now enjoy the time and attention I am able to give to patients in private practice.

What's your specialism?

I help people recover from injury to the lower limb. My passion lies in helping athletes, particularly runners, return to their sport after injury.

What led you to podiatry?

I have a a background in Sports & Exercise and discovered that podiatry provided the opportunity to focus on lower limb injury.

Where did you train?

I have a sports degree from Huddersfield university and my podiatry degree was at Salford Uni. I  also have a Masters Degree in Injury Rehabilitation. This was hard work but worth it!

Tell us about your career so far.

My Podiatry career has provided many opportunities. In addition to treating patients and running my business, I speak about rehab at conferences, lecture Podiatry students at Salford University and train other Podiatrists in Injury Rehab.
