Ayres Health is owned by husband & wife team, Andrew & Anna Ayres. We are both HCPC registered podiatrists and have worked in healthcare for most of our working lives. We provide a friendly, welcoming environment and high standards of compassionate care.
Away from work we both enjoy the great outdoors. Weekends are filled with local dog walks, fell running in the Peak District or longer hikes through mountains in Snowdonia or the Lake District. We gained a love for adventure travel after trekking through the Himalayas to Everest base camp in Nepal, and we’re always planning our next adventure!
Anna qualified in podiatry in 2017 with a First Class Honours degree from Salford University. Anna’s interest in Podiatry began through working in the NHS as part of a Specialist Diabetes Team. She previously worked with adults with learning disabilities and mental health problems and is also a qualified Complementary Therapist. Anna provides routine podiatry, nail surgery, cosmetic toenail reconstruction and unique integrated treatments combining podiatry with complementary approaches to foot health. Anna believes that happy, healthy feet can leave you feeling uplifted and improve overall wellbeing.
Andrew qualified with a degree in Podiatry from Salford University in 2012 and gained a Masters Degree in Injury Rehabilitation in 2017. Previously working in Sports & Exercise, Andrew has a passion for helping people regain strength & movement after injury. Andrew has a special interest in running injuries, being a keen fell runner himself, but can help anyone with an injury to the foot or leg return to the activities they enjoy. Specialist treatments with Andrew include joint & muscle testing, video gait analysis, balance and strength testing & exercise therapy & rehabilitation.
